Geysir erupting

While we were waiting to get a good picture of Strokkur, Geysir spouted, managed to get this picture, although it a fair distance away. Geysir spreads a lot of water in all directions, although isn't all that high. It had been inactive for several years, but started again in the year 2000. Geysir gave us the English word geyser, although the Icelandic word for geyser is goshver.
